Travel Agent

Those exist still? But whyy???!!!

Yes, travel agents are still around. We obviously saw a drop off with online systems and the ability to book your own travel. Now, there’s even more of a selection to choose and personalize your vacation.

Overwhelming now isn’t it?

Yeah.

Most clients I get come in because they’ve gotten too overwhelmed and there’s so many options out there now, how do you know what you’re about to book is good??? Too many times we see those crappy Google and TripAdvisor reviews.

Well, I know where to send you based on what you want because I know which hotels, resorts, and companies are worth it and will treat you well. I’ve been to some of them, I’ve sent clients to some of them, my coworkers have sent clients to them, and I have the available resource of working with a destination expert so when I need that extra help, I have it. Do you?

How many times have you researched everything and tried to piece everything together and between work, Netflix, and Facebook, it’s taken you months to completely book everything?

I have the time because it’s my job. Literally. I sit at my computer 8 hours a day and piece everything together for you so you have a tailored vacation.

But aren’t travel agents a luxury?

I try my hardest not to charge any service fees. I try to get you the best deals and the best values. Most of the time I succeed. When I don’t, it’s because I don’t think that that motel is going to be worth you money. I have access to contract prices for air and hotel packages and they pay me commission, so why would I charge you?

Well, sometimes I do charge you. If you’re only doing air I’ll probably charge a ticketing fee. Only $30-45 per person depending on the destination and how complicated you air itinerary is. Airlines don’t pay commission and I don’t work for free, but you have access to my knowledge at that point and if you have problems on the way, I’m here to fix it for you to the best of my availability (let’s be honest, I can’t always fix the weather related problems).

So basically what I’m saying is that at worst I am the same price as online and depending on the destination, I’m a lot better. Plus I’m helping you. It’s like getting my services for free. Who wouldn’t want that extra help for free???
